Bitcoin, which has been falling since hitting all-time highs, fell further 1 per cent. Ethereum was stable at last day’s price. Avalanche also traded in the red but XRP and Cardano were among a few that traded with gains. Meanwhile, Polkadot fell about 2 per cent but that was not a worry, said analysts.

The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 1356.9 and a 52-week low of Rs 748.1.

“It is still a little early to start making an aggressive auto call at this point in time. Demand is going to be a little overriding and one will have stock specific stories, but at a broader sectoral level, we just wait a little bit more to see demand jumping back.”

“If the market were to break any levels below 17,250, the correction can get deeper. At the moment, I am not envisaging that but if it does that we should be prepared for a deeper correction.”

“We like the five largecap companies in the IT sector and though valuations have moved up a bit, they are still reasonable in the context of growth they are likely to deliver over the next three to five years. When it comes to midcaps, we are taking a more stock specific approach.”

Gold futures on MCX were up 0.07 per cent or Rs 35 at Rs 47,958 per 10 grams. Silver futures rose 0.15 per cent or Rs 97 to Rs 64,668 per kg.

“We often forget to realise how much we have rallied even for November! Net-net, we are down a percent or barely flat on midcap and largecap indices. So nothing really has happened in November.”
