Vested Finance, which facilitates investing in US stocks, said it has launched a pre-made portfolio of select stocks called Bitcoin Vest that comprises shares of companies that generate some or all of their revenue from cryptocurrencies.

The Nikkei share average rose 1.7% to end at 25,762.01, while the broader Topix climbed 1.46% to 1,853.25.

On the technical charts, the RSI of the stock stood at 49.94.

A total of 7,063 shares changed hands on the counter till 02:10PM (IST).

The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 2.1% by 0818 GMT, hitting its highest since March 3.

“Changing allocation to largecaps now is a futile exercise because whenever you try and attempt that with an allocation which would be relatively stable or safer, it may not work out. In fact, largecaps were the most vulnerable because FIIs sell out and their mainstay is largecaps. So that is where we saw the bigger decline.”

Among stocks, the fund house bought for the month includes HDFC Bank. The MF house held 19,33,83,903 HDFC Bank shares as of February 28 compared with 18,70,95,891 shares as of January 31. As per a report by Edelweiss, the MF house bought a net Rs 896.89 crore-worth HDFC shares last month.

The Nifty IT index closed 1.8 per cent up at 35729.65.

The index area of 16,800-17,000 level has in the past proved significant as a few significant bounces and a decisive downside breakout were seen over this range in the recent past.
