Oil prices slipped on Monday, giving up earlier gains as investors took profits after a surge in the previous session, but global supply fears loomed with the European Union preparing to phase in a ban on imports from Russia. Brent crude futures were down 64 cents, or 0.6%, at $110.91 a barrel at 0137 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropped 60 cents, or 0.5%, to $109.89 a barrel.

Asian share markets were attempting a rare rally on Monday after Wall Street managed a bounce from deep lows, though investors were also braced for bad news from Chinese economic data due later in the session.

Bharat Forge, GSK Pharmaceuticals, Century Plyboards, VIP Industries, MCX, Raymond, Ami Organics, Dodla Dairy and Greenply Industries are among companies which will announce their quarterly earnings today.

Stocks that were in focus include names like Indus Towers which fell more than 4 per cent, State Bank of India was down nearly 4 per cent, and Tata Motors closed with gains of nearly 9 per cent on Friday.

The private sector lender intends to diversify to new geographies and add more than 500 branches, mostly in semi-urban and rural areas beyond East India, most likely UP and South India.

CDPQ is likely to raise about $150-$200 million (₹1,000 -1,500 crore) by selling additional stake in the InvIT, the sources said. The sale process is expected to be launched early next month.
